Jude Bellingham has showered Rodrygo with praise, as Liverpool and Arsenal have reportedly shown an interest in the Real Madrid star.
While Rodrygo has shown promise at Los Blancos, he is not considered to be on par with teammates Vinicius Jr and Kylian Mbappe, leading to a decrease in his playing time.
For instance, during Real Madrid's 4-0 defeat to Paris Saint-Germain in the Club World Cup semi-final earlier this month, Rodrygo was left on the bench for the fifth match in a row.
Meanwhile, Arsenal have recently secured the signing of Noni Madueke from Chelsea in a £48.5m deal, a move which could lead Mikel Arteta to abandon his pursuit of Rodrygo, especially given that Madueke can play on the left, while Bukayo Saka seems set to retain his position on the right, reports the Liverpool Echo.
At Anfield, Luis Diaz has been the subject of transfer speculation this summer, with Bayern Munich reportedly at the front of the queue to land the Colombian winger's services.
It comes despite Liverpool firmly rebuffing the German giants' initial £58.6m approach, making it clear the player wasn't for sale.
If Diaz does eventually depart, the reigning Premier League champions might turn their attention to Rodrygo - particularly as his representative has reportedly suggested Liverpool harbour genuine interest, though no formal contact has been established.
We'll be messing around, and he'll flick the ball up somehow, and you're thinking, 'How'd he do that?' I'm twisting my ankles if I try that."

Discussing the privilege of lining up alongside both Rodrygo and Mbappe, Bellingham added: "It's a pleasure to play with both of them.
You put them in positions where they can affect the games, and they will win it for you."
Liverpool seemingly would not be put off by Real Madrid's asking price for Rodrygo at present, especially should they secure a substantial sum for the sale of Diaz.
