Germany national team coach Julian Nagelsmann has revealed having discussions with Liverpool linked Florian Wirtz about his future.

subject to much speculation in the last few weeks with Liverpool, Bayern Munich and Manchester City all registering their interest in signing him.
It is easy to see why Wirtz’s name has been high in the rumor mill, as the Germany international has been one of the standout performers in the Bundesliga over the last two seasons.
He played a key role in Bayer Leverkusen’s unbeaten league win last season, winning the leagues best player at the end of the season.
This season, he has remained as lethal despite Leverkusen’s failure to hit their heights of last season.
Bayern Munich were initially leading the race for his signature, but Liverpool have stolen a match on them in the last few weeks.
The Reds are said to have presented their first offer for the midfielder and talks between the German club and Liverpool are said to be going on full speed.
While no official announcement is yet to be made, it is increasingly looking likely that Wirtz will join Liverpool.
Even the 22-year-old’s national team boss Julian Nagelsmann has confirmed that the player spoke to him about his future, name-checking Liverpool as a good option.
““He texted me.
We exchanged a few messages,” Julian Nagelsmann said.
“I tried to give him tips to the best of my knowledge and belief, but I told him I can’t make the decision for him because my opinion is not necessarily the right one.
“The final decision is his.
It was also said with Bayern before that it was done.

“In the end every player has to decide for himself,” he added.
“It’s not official (a potential move to Liverpool), but if it’s Liverpool, then it’d be a very good step because he can play in his position, a great environment, great club.
It would’ve been good to have them [Wirtz and Jamal Musiala] playing together.
“But Jamal and Flo can get on well together even if they’re not at the same club.
