Jurgen Klopp and his time at Liverpool is slowly but surely coming to an end.

The Reds have two Premier League games left before the end of the season, and the moment all Liverpool fans are dreading.

A trip to Villa Park this coming Monday and then Wolves at Anfield for the final matchday is all that is left of Jurgen Klopp’s tenure.

A month ago, these two matches was touted as potential deciders for the Premier League title for Jurgen Klopp’s team.

Now, the focus has shifted to pride and giving Klopp a dignified conclusion to his nine-year stint at the helm.

While the German won’t get to ride off in the sunset with a Premier League title, he still deserves to end his story on a high note.

The Reds currently sit on 78 points, four behind Manchester City and five behind league leaders Arsenal.

For Liverpool to win the Premier League this season, we will obviously have to win our two games remaining, Man City draw one fixture and then lose two, and Arsenal to lose their last two matches.

Of course, the chances of that happening are slim to none, so the focus should be on enjoying the last moments with Jurgen Klopp.

And it seems the club is aiming to do just that for the fans ahead of the emotional day.

What did Jurgen Klopp say?

Speaking in a special episode of ‘Finding Liverpool”, the German reflected on his journey as the Liverpool manager – going all the way back to 2015:

“Arriving in 2015 – it was just positive and I was really looking forward to it”

“I was super excited about the opportunity.

We wanted to go to a different country, we wanted to move to England, and obviously we didn’t regret it for a second.”

When asked what makes Liverpool as a city so special, Klopp suggested that it is able to keep it’s ‘small town vibe’ despite being a major city:

“I could have grown up here, definitely.

I’m not a city person, I’m obviously from the countryside.”

“So if I didn’t greet the lady in the street she would call my later and say ‘what’s wrong with your boy.'”

“So that would never happen in a big city – but a little bit Liverpool kept that.”

“But the main thing is still the people, the togetherness, the connection, the heart….

I knew I will love being here.”

Quizzed on his first impressions on walking out to a full Anfield all those years ago, Klopp revealed that he believes there is a “Liverpool way”:

“That was and still is a fantastic moment.

I really think there’s a Liverpool way?

When you win one time with Liverpool, it is worth as much as five with another club.”

“To experience a good moment is really good, but to experience a good moment with a lot of people together is a completely different level.”
