Jurgen Klopp claimed Liverpool will at least have the benefit of playing at a 'proper stadium' when they attempt to overturn a 3-1 first leg deficit at Anfield against Real Madrid.

Rather than taking place at the prestigious Bernabeu the game took place at the Alfredo Di Stefano Stadium, where Real Madrid Castilla, the club's reserve side, play their home fixtures.

The Bernabeu is undergoing major a face lift and will not reopen for business until 2022 which has forced Real to play all their matches at an arena which boasts a meagre maximum capacity of just 6,000.

'It must be a really tricky task for Real Madrid at Anfield with or without supporters,' Klopp said at his post-match press conference when asked about the possibility of staging another improbable Champions League salvage operation.

In response, Zidane insisted Real Madrid were 'proud' to play their games at their temporary home and subsequently warned his side they cannot afford to take anything for granted ahead of their trip to Merseyside.
