Liverpool shelved their trophy parade plans at the behest of Jurgen Klopp during his final term as manager.

The ex-Reds boss was succeeded by Arne Slot, who has steered the Merseyside giants to a Premier League title in his first season.

They clinched the title on Sunday following a resounding win against Tottenham, sparking euphoric celebrations at Anfield.

Later this month, Liverpool will host an open-top bus parade to celebrate their triumph, with thousands of supporters anticipated to turn up.

It's set to commence at Allerton Maze in the city’s south end, proceeding northbound along Queens Drive, and concluding on Blundell Street.

The festivities are expected to run for about three to five hours.

Liam Robinson, head of Liverpool City Council, has made an official statement: "We're delighted to officially invite Liverpool Football Club to parade around the city on May 26.
