Liverpool are once again being linked with a move for Manchester City star Kevin De Bruyne as the midfielder looks set to join a new club this summer.
De Bruyne announced in April that he would be leaving City at the end of the season when his contract expires.
The Belgium international is set to be a free agent, and has already been linked with moves to Saudi Arabia and the United States over the last few weeks.
Reports from Italy emerged on Wednesday claiming that Liverpool have made an "offer" to De Bruyne to join the Reds on a free transfer this summer.
Serie A leaders Napoli are also reported to be in the running to sign De Bruyne as a free agent.
It remains to be seen what plans Liverpool have for the summer transfer window and which players Arne Slot will want to add to the squad to defend the Premier League title.

It was only last year that Jurgen Klopp gave his verdict on De Bruyne during the Reds' previous title challenge.

Klopp, who left his role as Liverpool manager last summer, made an admission about De Bruyne after the midfielder was making a return from injury.
The former Reds boss was speaking after the Reds moved to the top of the Premier League table with a Monday Night Football win over Newcastle United.
