Jurgen Klopp played down fears over Naby Keita's fitness after the midfielder was taken off at half-time in Liverpool's 3-0 win over Norwich.

Academy products Kaide Gordon and Conor Bradley debuted for the visitors as Klopp made nine changes to his team and Tyler Morton came on for his first appearance in Liverpool colours, replacing Keita at the break.

Klopp is hopeful Keita, fresh from his wondergoal against Crystal Palace, will be available when Liverpool return to Premier League action at newly-promoted Brentford in four days time.

'Naby, in the first half, he kicked the grass,' the Liverpool head coach told Sky Sports shortly after the final whistle.

Klopp was pleased with the spirit his much-changed Liverpool team showed in the second half after Caoimhin Kelleher's penalty save to deny Christos Tzolis.

Asked what he learned from the match, Klopp replied: 'That you have to score goals to win a game which I knew before!
