Jurgen Klopp has confirmed that Conor Bradley will be out until early May due to the injury he sustained during last weekend’s defeat to Crystal Palace.

Bradley, who started at right-back for the Reds at Anfield on Sunday was forced off just three minutes into the second half.

The defender limped off the pitch and was replaced by Trent Alexander-Arnold, marking Alexander-Arnold’s first appearance in the top-flight since February 10

Conor Bradley sustained the injury while attempting to make a tackle.

Speaking at his press conference to preview the second leg of Liverpool’s Europa League quarter-final with Atalanta, Klopp said: “I think Ryan Gravenberch had a similar thing, so first week of May he [Bradley] should be back in training?

Two weeks’ time.

“[He] overstretched the ligaments, not serious serious but serious enough that he’s not here.”

Bradley is likely to miss several key matches, including the Europa League quarter-final second leg against Atalanta, the upcoming fixture against Fulham, the Merseyside Derby with Everton, and the clash with West Ham on April 27.

Liverpool will be eager for his return as they face crucial matches against Spurs, Aston Villa, and Wolves in the final three weeks of the season.

Bradley has been a significant contributor this season, making 22 appearances across all competitions and playing a role in Liverpool’s success in the Carabao Cup.

Klopp now has four first-team players unavailable.

Long-term absentee Joel Matip remains sidelined, alongside Thiago Alcantara and Ben Doak.

On the game against Atalanta, the German said: “We played four years ago against Atalanta and they played like this, and the result was different here.

We played into their hands.

“Tomorrow the game is more difficult as they don’t have to score at all.

We found that out when we won 5-0 here, we lost 2-0 in the home game.

If Atalanta go through then they deserve it, if not then something special has happened.”
