It will not have the Hollywood ending that many hoped but Liverpool fans will soon be able to relive Jürgen Klopp's final season.

Cameras have been filming the campaign at Anfield for a documentary series, that is due to air in August.

While Manchester City and Arsenal have featured in access-all-areas documentaries in the past, the Liverpool series will instead be focused more on lifestyle and the culture of the club, with insight from supporters.

Liverpool had previously been approached about taking part in such a project but Jürgen Klopp was against it, warning he would walk away if cameras were ever put in the dressing room.

Klopp had a change of heart over the documentary, which was announced shortly after the German revealed he would be leaving the club at the end of the season.

Klopp told Liverpool's official website: "With this being my final season I thought we should provide a rare opportunity for viewers to have more of an inside look at what makes this club so special."

And it appears he has also reversed the rule on filming taking place inside the Liverpool dressing room.

It had been hoped that Liverpool would end the season, and the Klopp era with more silverware but the Premier League title push has faltered in recent weeks.

There is still some uncertainty around the documentary though.

It is claimed that the series, which was expected to fetch a huge eight-figure sum, is yet to be signed by a streaming service.

Liverpool.com says: The documentary series will give Liverpool fans a glimpse into the club and life under Klopp.
