Jurgen Klopp was in no mood to reveal what happened between him and Liverpool talisman Mohamed Salah after their row at West Ham.

The Reds manager cut a frustrated figure on the touchline throughout his side's draw at the London Stadium, which leaves Liverpool with a mountain to climb to catch their fellow title rivals. And tempers flared on the touchline as Salah and Klopp exchanged frank views.

The Egypt international had to be held back by team-mate Darwin Nunez as he wildly gesticulated in the direction of his outgoing manager.

Soon after the full-time whistle, Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher weighed in on the row and posted his theory on social media. He wrote: "The only reason a manager would be unhappy in this situation, is the player took too long to be ready to come on."

Klopp himself was pressed for comment on the interaction but kept his cards close to his chest. Asked if he could reveal what was said, he told TNT Sport: "No. We spoke already in the dressing room, for me that’s done."

The Liverpool boss was regretful of how wasteful his side were, adding: "We had big chances. We played well but we didn’t finish the situations. That’s what we have to acknowledge and carry on."

In his post-match press conference, when asked if Salah felt the issue was closed, Klopp said "That's my impression, yes."

Yet again, Klopp's side conceded first, with Jarrod Bowen heading West Ham in front just before half-time, continuing the trend of the Reds falling behind in games.

However, Andy Robertson's effort followed by a Hammers own goal from goalkeeper Alphonse Areola flipped the tie on its head and put the visitors in front. Liverpool couldn't keep hold of their lead though, with Michail Antonio heading home an equaliser for West Ham.

Klopp's bust-up with Salah dominated the post-match discourse, with ex-Liverpool forward Peter Crouch offering up his analysis. He claimed: "It didn’t look good. I can’t say exactly what they’re saying, it didn’t look good, I don’t think it looks good for the club.

"Listen Mo Salah is a player who starts the majority of games for Liverpool, he’ll be fuming. He’ll be fuming to be on the bench. Players like that who are expected to start are never happy, but no-one likes to see this, between a manager and a real key player."

The fall-out will do little to quash rumours that Salah could be following Klopp out the Anfield exit in the summer.
