Former Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is reportedly keen on a reunion with Harvey Elliott in the Red Bull Group.
TBR Football reports that Klopp is keen for RB Leipzig to sign Elliott, who looks likely to be sold this summer after experiencing a dramatic drop in his game time since Arne Slot arrived at Anfield.
Elliott — who has been linked with three Premier League clubs — lined up just twice in the Premier League this season, and both of those starts came in May, after the title had been wrapped up.
Klopp was the Liverpool manager when the club recruited a 16-year-old Elliott in 2019, and he was a big fan of the youngster.
Elliott's minutes increased with each season that he played under Klopp, and he racked up close to 3,000 minutes during the German's final season in charge.
Contrastingly, the 22-year-old figured for fewer than 800 minutes under Slot, and there is a decent possibility that he will move on this summer.
If he does join Leipzig, he will once again be working in the same organization as Klopp — albeit not as closely as he was doing at Liverpool.
When he left Liverpool last year, Klopp said that his only regret was not handing Elliott as many minutes as he should have.

“It’s not that I go back and think ‘OK, what did we all do wrong?’” Klopp said
He was probably our best player, right wing, right midfield, all these kinds of things.
“Everybody came back and he had minutes here, minutes there and he didn’t start anymore, came on, big impact."
Elliott admitted last month that the season had been difficult for him, and suggested that he might have to leave Liverpool for the good of his career.
