Arthur Melo joined the Reds on loan from Juventus but endured a torrid spell on Merseyside, making just one senior appearance in a Liverpool shirt.
Arthur arrived at Liverpool with plenty of pedigree, having spent two years at Barcelona before joining Juventus in 2020.
He was expected to play a major role in helping the Reds fight for trophies but ended up going down as one of their poorest signings in recent memory.
The former Barcelona man played just 13 minutes for Liverpool, coming off the bench in a Champions League game against Napoli before suffering a long-term thigh injury.
He failed to work his way back into the squad upon his return and was promptly sent back to Juventus at the end of the season.
Arthur was loaned out again last summer, joining fellow Italian side Fiorentina in a bid to revive his career.
The move has proven to be an excellent one, with the 27-year-old staying injury-free and playing in the vast majority of league matches after emerging as a key member of the side.

He has made 44 appearances for Fiorentina in all competitions, showing the fitness levels he could have only dreamed of during his time at Liverpool.
His impressive midfield displays have also helped Fiorentina to reach the Europa Conference League final, putting them on the verge of winning continental silverware for the first time since 1990.
Arthur's agent, Federico Pastorello, recently heaped praise on his client by describing him as one of the best players currently in Serie A.
Juventus had to cover part of the salary to revive him and today Arthur is maybe the best player in the league."
Fiorentina have the option to buy Arthur for £17million at the end of his loan spell and Pastorello believes they will be sealing a bargain if the clause is activated.
"I’d say [Arthur is worth] even higher," he added.
