Jurgen Klopp has pretty much had the Midas touch since he arrived at Liverpool back in 2015, but Takumi Minamino's imminent switch to Monaco just goes to show that even one of the Premier League's best is prone to the odd mishap in the transfer market.

Minamino has struggled to make an impact on Merseyside since he arrived from RB Salzburg in a £7.25million deal two-and-a-half-years ago, making just 30 league appearances across the last three seasons.

Minamino may not have had the desired impact, but the Japan international is far from the worst signing Klopp has made during his reign.

Ben Davies was another Liverpool capture that caught people off-guard when the Reds swooped in January 2020.

After being farmed out to the likes of Cardiff City, Hertha Berlin and FC Porto, Grujic finally departed Liverpool after mustering just eight first-team appearances under Klopp.

However, he failed to make a single first-team appearance and is currently back in the Championship on loan at Sheffield United.

Dominic Solanke was one of Chelsea's top prospects when Liverpool swooped in to snap up the striker back in the summer of 2017.
