Juve forced to sell midfielder.
Brazilian midfielder Douglas Luiz has skipped training at Juventus amidst interest from abroad from West Ham United and Liverpool.
The 27-year-old central midfielder is desperate to return to England, and it is understood that West Ham are in pole position to sign the former Aston Villa and Man City player
Liverpool have also emerged as a possible next destination for the midfielder, but the Hammers are ready to match the 38 million euros that Juve will reluctantly sell the player for.
The Hammers have money to spend having sold Mohamed Kudus to rivals Tottenham Hotspur earlier in the summer, and West Ham manager Graham Potter is a huge fan of Douglas Luiz and wants to strengthen his midfielder as there remains uncertainty over the future of Lucas Paqueta.
Italian media outlets have reported that Douglas Luiz did not show up for training on Thursday, and is now facing disciplinary action for failing to communicate his absence as he seeks to push through a transfer return back to England.
The reported price tag for the Brazilian appears no issue for West Ham, who are keen to sign new faces as they continue their pre-season tour.
