Liverpool FC’s summer has been marked by not just a flurry of incoming signings but also new contract developments across the senior squad and Academy.
Conor Bradley penned fresh terms in May, extending a near six-year journey that started at Dungannon United to now a senior Liverpool player.
Meanwhile, reports emerged this week that midfielder James McConnell, 20, is close to finalizing a long-term contract before embarking on a developmental loan.
This is also the plan for Luca Stephenson, who spent last season on loan at Dundee in the Scottish Premiership.
On the Academy front, Liverpool confirmed 10 first-year scholars stepping up from under-16s to under-18s.
Defenders Harry Moran, Cameron Williams, Harvey Owen, Lucas Clarke, Lenix Conde and Ellis Hickman, midfielders Haydn Murray-Holme and AJ Yeguo, plus forwards Finn Inglethorpe and La’more Forrester have all signed new scholarship contracts, joining a reshaped youth setup under incoming Under-18s coach Simon Wiles.
Amid these high-profile renewals and scholarship offers, forward Kareem Ahmed has officially graduated from scholar to professional, signing his inaugural contract at 18 – the culmination of 12 years in Liverpool’s Academy.

Ahmed first caught the eye in December 2022, scoring on his under-18s debut in an FA Youth Cup tie at Bournemouth.
In the 2024–25 season, he netted seven goals and supplied five assists across all competitions, including standout performances in the UEFA Youth League against Bologna and RB Leipzig.
Comfortable as both a forward and attacking midfielder, Ahmed’s creativity and technical flair have been earmarked as key assets for Liverpool’s under-21s, where he will spend the 2025–26 campaign under new coach Rob Page.
