Liverpool have been very busy in the 2025-26 summer transfer window with plenty of players coming and going.
One of the main transfer stories to have emerged from Anfield over the last month or so is the fact that Trent Alexander-Arnold chose to jump ship and leave his boyhood club on a free transfer to Real Madrid.
Of course, there’s no denying that Alexander-Arnold is an exceptional talent, but the way he left Liverpool should have been so much more amicable.
“One, Hakimi, two [Nuno] Mendes, three [Milos] Kerkez, I really like Kerkez, I’m going to go four Trent [Alexander-Arnold] and I’m going to go five, [Jurrien] Timber,” he said.
Liverpool already had a fairly strong line-up without the arrival of players such as Milos Kerkez and Florian Wirtz.
Indeed, there are still a couple of areas within Liverpool’s squad that could do with strengthening, but unless some of their players are sold, then this could be it for the Reds’ transfer window.
But with talent such as Kerkez available to them from the start, there’s not all that much that could get in their way.
