The new Premier League campaign has not been particularly kind to Liverpool.

This means that Liverpool and their stopgap defence will be coming up against a team which doesn't do much in attack outside penalties, but when their openings do materialise, the shots tend to be quite close to goal.

Their customary back four has been effectively decimated, with Jurgen Klopp set to lean on James Milner, Neco Williams, Nat Phillips, Rhys Williams and Kostas Tsimikas in order to fill the gaps as he selects a makeshift defence to face the Foxes.

The one worry attached to Leicester's numbers from a Liverpool perspective is that when they do manage to generate shots, they are relatively clear-cut and easy to convert according to expected goals.

Liverpool are set to be without Trent Alexander-Arnold, Joe Gomez and Virgil van Dijk and ahead of their upcoming clash with top-of-the-table Leicester City at Anfield.

Simply put, Leicester don't tend to shoot very often.

Liverpool - for perspective - have produced 128 efforts on goal which is the best in the league and is almost double the amount posted by Rodgers' outfit.
