Konstantinos Mavropanos was quick to react to a motivational message shared by his West Ham United teammate Niclas Fullkrug.
Amid the Hammer’s poor start to the Premier League season, Graham Potter was under pressure thanks to consecutive defeats against Sunderland and Chelsea.
However, West Ham beat Nottingham Forest 3-0 on Sunday, 31 August, and have headed into the international break with momentum behind them.

After steering West Ham to victory over Nottingham Forest, Potter is tasked with leading his club against London rivals Tottenham on 13 September.
Meanwhile, despite failing to score in three Premier League appearances this season, striker Fullkrug is in the Germany squad for their upcoming World Cup qualifiers against Slovakia and Northern Ireland.
The 32-year-old shared a message to his international teammates via Instagram on Wednesday, 3 September: “Good vibes! Tomorrow we start the World Cup qualification!

Fullkrug arrived at West Ham last summer with a deservedly strong reputation, having notched 15 goals and 11 assists in the 2023/24 season for then Champions League finalists Borussia Dortmund.

However, the former Werder Bremen man scored just three goals in 18 Premier League appearances for the Irons last season, and he has not had a good start to the new campaign.
Therefore, to ensure that West Ham avoid relegation danger, Fullkrug must hit good form when he returns to East London at the end of the international break.
Furthermore, after Callum Wilson scored against Nottingham Forest as a substitute, the Germany international is in danger of being dropped by Potter.
Potter’s men face successive home games against London rivals Spurs and Crystal Palace in their next two Premier League encounters, and must put points on the board.
For now, though, Fullkrug’s mind is set on helping Germany in their World Cup qualification campaign.
