Kostas Tsimikas is one of a number of Liverpool players that could depart this summer as part of Arne Slot’s summer clear out.
Darwin Nunez seems to have one foot out of the door amid interest from Al-Hilal and European sides like Atletico Madrid and Napoli.
Caoimhin Kelleher is another one who seems destined to leave this summer and will have no shortage of suitors.
The 26-year-old wants to become a first-choice keeper and has even been urged by the Republic of Ireland manager to depart Anfield this summer.
Meanwhile, the potential acquisition of Milos Kerkez hinges on one of Andy Robertson or Kostas Tsimikas departing.
And according to the latest reports, it may well be the Greek international.
Lewis Steele, writing in the Daily Mail’s Liverpool Confidential, has reported that Leeds United are eyeing Kostas Tsimikas ahead of a potential summer move.
The Yorkshire club won the 2024/25 Championship and will be playing Premier League football next season.
The Merseyside reporter writes:
“Leeds are considering a move for Kostas Tsimikas this summer after their promotion to the Premier League.”
“It is widely anticipated that Leeds’ current left back Junior Firpo will join Real Betis and Daniel Farke’s men are in the market for a replacement with Premier League experience.”
“Tsimikas is likely to be available this summer with Liverpool targeting a new left back?
The 29-year-old has a contract until 2027 at Anfield.”
Tsimikas is well-liked member of the playing staff and is a bubbly personality in the dressing room.
Arne Slot has used him sparingly in the Premier League, with only 8 starts in his 17 league appearances this term.
