Jamie Vardy has started the next stage of his career after leaving Leicester City for Cremonese in the summer.
Leicester said goodbye to arguably their best-ever player at the end of last season after Vardy brought the curtain down on 13 years at the King Power Stadium, with a 200th goal in his 500th game for them.
Multiple clubs across Europe and even further afield explored moves for the 38-year-old free agent over the summer, with Old Firm rivals Celtic and Rangers both attempting to take Vardy north of the border.
Potentially facing Leicester was also on the cards after Football Insider revealed that Birmingham City registered their interest in signing Vardy, but the former England striker chose to leave British shores altogether.

Celtic had been the apparent front-runners to sign Vardy as the potential answer to their striker problems late in the window, but they were beaten by newly-promoted Serie A side Cremonese to his signature.
Vardy has penned a one-year deal with the option of an extension at Cremonese, and became the latest of several players to head for Serie A in the twilights of their careers with Luka Modric another example.
Cremonese’s 0-0 draw at Hellas Verona saw Vardy make his debut off the bench midway through the second half, and he posted on Instagram on Monday to say: “A good, hard fought point away from home.

“I’m happy to have made my US Cremonese debut tonight, and I’m looking forward to playing at home on Sunday!”
Leicester duo Patson Daka and Abdul Fatawu liked the post, Vardy’s fellow 2016 Premier League title winner Marc Albrighton commented a blue ‘heart’ emoji, and Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano said: “Welcome legend”.

Football Insider Verdict
Vardy’s departure from the King Power kicked off a turbulent summer which has seen the Foxes sign just five new players, with two goalkeepers arriving on free transfers and three attacking midfield loanees.
Leicester managed to retain Fatawu amid interest from Sunderland but did loan Bilal El Khannouss out to Stuttgart, and the Foxes also missed out on Josh Brownhill after his move to the Saudi Pro League.
Julian Carranza and Aaron Ramsey add attacking depth for Jordan Ayew up front, and after his first goal of the season at Oxford on Saturday, Leicester’s number nine shirt won’t be weighing quite as heavily on his shoulders.
