Newcastle left-back Lewis Hall dispatched a major update regarding his recovery from injury on social media.
The 20-year-old has become one of Eddie Howe’s most dependable players after breaking into the first team during his second full season at the club.
His consistency and maturity on the pitch were rewarded when Hall earned his first England senior cap in November 2024, marking a major milestone in his young career.
However, his campaign came to an abrupt end in March after Hall suffered a serious ankle injury, ruling him out for the remainder of the season.
The timing of the injury meant he was unavailable for Newcastle’s Carabao Cup final triumph over Liverpool, with Kieran Trippier stepping in to fill the void at full-back.
Despite the success last season, Hall’s absence was still felt by fans and teammates alike.
Now, the defender has shared a positive update on his road to recovery that will no doubt excite the Newcastle faithful as the new season approaches.

Although the defender didn’t explicitly confirm his return in the post, Newcastle’s official club account shared a photo of Hall in training on Facebook, captioned: “Back in full training with the lads,” confirming that the he has resumed full involvement with the squad.
Hall’s injury last season was a major setback for the Magpies, with the squad already depleted as they pushed for a Champions League place.
However, Newcastle managed to rally and secured a return to elite European competition for the upcoming campaign — and his comeback will only boost hopes heading into the new season.

While the club continue preparations on the pitch, their recruitment efforts off it have met some frustration.
Football Insider revealed that RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko would prefer a move to Manchester United over a switch to Howe’s side, despite Newcastle submitting a club-record bid to land the forward.
It’s the latest setback in their summer transfer push, as Newcastle have already seen moves fall through for Joao Pedro, Liam Delap and Bryan Mbeumo.
