Lilly Gerrard was in disbelief as she celebrated a special milestone.

Steven Gerrard's eldest daughter became a mum last month when she welcomed her first child into the world with her partner, Lee Byrne.

The new parents have maintained a Gerrard family tradition by naming their daughter Lila Grey.



The 21-year-old has taken to Instagram today to reveal it has been a month since she welcomed her newborn into the world.

She shared a snap cradling Lila, alongside the caption: "Can't believe you are 1 month old today." Lilly's dad has taken to his new role as grandad since the happy family news.

The 45-year-old shared an image holding Lila with his 11.7m followers, alongside the caption: "Grandad duty." Gerrard gave his seal of approval to his daughter's partner in celebration of Lee's birthday.

The former Liverpool FC midfielder marked the occasion with a snap of Lee with his granddaughter as he embraced him as a member of the family.

He said: "Happy birthday to my son in law." Lilly has been dating Lee for over two years as they went public with their romance in a series of snaps posted from their time in Ibiza, Spain.

Lilly also issued a tribute to Lee on his birthday last Friday.

Alongside a collage of the family of three, she said: "Happy birthday to my Lee.

She shared an adorable snap alongside her partner as the couple enjoyed their night away from their newborn.

Lilly looked "amazing" as she wore a pair of blue denim jeans and a black long-sleeved bodysuit.

Lilly's followers were quick to flood the comments with positive messages and compliments.
