A long-awaited 35-years was finally over yesterday as Liverpool lifted the Premier League title in front of a full house at Anfield.

Inside the stadium, many Liverpool legends returned to watch the trophy lift against Crystal Palace on the last game of the season.

Steven Gerrard, Jordan Henderson, Jurgen Klopp and Rafa Benitez were among the familiar faces in the stands.



As well as regular game-goers Kenny Dalglish and Ian Rush.

Linda Henry, wife of John Henry, who heads up American ownership group Fenway Sports Group was in and among the celebrations as the club celebrated the monumental moment.

She took to Instagram several times yesterday to mark the occasion.

The latest video shared by Linda was of the Liverpool players receiving a guard of honour from the away team, their final one of the season.

She captioned the post: "Scenes from a beautiful on field celebration of champions."

A fan responded to the video: "Oh Linda, what a day, what a season.

FSG, then New England Sports Ventures, bought Liverpool back in September 2010 and have seen the Reds win the Premier League, Champions League, FA Cup, League Cup and Club World Cup under their leadership."

Fans were thrilled last night, as Linda stopped for pictures with fans as she served everything from Scouse pie to hot dogs and pints of lager from inside the concourse.

Huge crowds are expected to line the streets of Liverpool FC today as the red half of the city celebrates the Premier League triumph with an open-top bus parade through the city.

After securing their historic 20th English league title with a dominant 5-1 victory over Tottenham Hotspur at Anfield last month, excitement has been building across Merseyside.

The 15km (10-mile) parade is set to begin at 2.30pm on Monday, May 26.
