Linda Pizzuti has sent an emotional tribute to Diogo Jota after the Liverpool star died in a car accident in Spain.
Jota, 28, was said to have been travelling with his brother, Andre Silva, when the incident happened in the Spanish region of Zamora in Sanabria in the early hours of Thursday morning.
Zamora News has reported that emergency services were called to the scene shortly before 1am on Thursday morning.
It's believed that a tyre blow-out was the cause of the accident, with Zamora provincial council reporting that firefighters responded to the crash on the A52 - also known as the Palacios de Sanabria - after a vehicle caught on fire.
Liverpool published a statement to pay tribute to Jota and his brother Andre, while also requesting privacy for both of their families and loved ones.

In a comment on Liverpool's Instagram post, Linda - wife of Fenway Sports Group chief John W.
Henry - also wrote an emotional tribute to Jota and Andre.
"Such a tragic loss of Diogo and his brother André," Linda wrote on Instagram.
"Not only a great player, Diogo was a great human, much loved by his family and teammates.
Sending love and prayers to his young family."

The statement from Liverpool read: "Liverpool Football Club are devastated by the tragic passing of Diogo Jota.
"The club have been informed the 28-year-old has passed away following a road traffic accident in Spain along with his brother, Andre.

"Liverpool FC will be making no further comment at this time and request the privacy of Diogo and Andre’s family, friends, teammates and club staff is respected as they try to come to terms with an unimaginable loss.
"We will continue to provide them with our full support.
