Man United’s bomb squad could have a new member after Lisandro Martinez was spotted mixing with his outcasted teammates in a new update from Jadon Sancho.
Ruben Amorim has taken a hardline stance on a number of Man United players’ futures this summer, with multiple stars training away from the first-team as they seek exits during the transfer window.
Alejandro Garnacho, Tyrell Malacia, Sancho and Antony all make up the current group of players who are not in the Portuguese boss’ plans, while Marcus Rashford was also included but secured a loan move to Barcelona earlier in the summer.
Sancho has been linked with a move to Roma ahead of the transfer deadline next week, but reportedly does not want to join the Serie A side, while Garnacho is set to join Chelsea as they each try to move on for the good of their careers.
The quartet will all likely want to leave the club before the window closes on Monday (1 September), and they have now been joined for a photo by another Red Devils star in Martinez as he continues his injury recovery.

Ruben Amorim has admitted that “anything can happen” and United’s bomb squad players could still be reintegrated to the squad if they are still at the club when the window closes.
Garnacho, Antony, Sancho and Malacia did not travel on the clubs pre-season tour and have trained separately from the rest of the first-team squad this summer, but they are clearly still allowed to mix with the in-favour first-team stars.

Sancho took to his Instagram story on Wednesday (27 August) to share a picture of him, Malacia and Antony joined by Lisandro Martinez in a practically deserted dressing room, but they were all smiling and the England winger positively captioned his update with: “My brothers!”
Football Insider verdict
Sancho is part of a wider problem at United that seems to have spiralled into a desperate situation over the last year or so, with numerous players shunned at the club despite once being key men.
His fall-outs with Erik ten Hag saw him loaned out to Chelsea last summer, but despite some decent showings under Enzo Maresca, the Blues chose to exercise their £5m option not to sign Sancho at the end of 2024/25.

The Sun reported last month that Nottingham Forest are interested in signing him this summer, and despite a number of other teams also reportedly considering a move, he should be giving his priority to the City Ground club right now.
Sancho would have less pressure at Forest than at United or Chelsea, and Nuno Espirito Santo also has a good recent track record of being successful with previously unfavoured players like Chris Wood and Callum Hudson-Odoi, while they are also able to offer Europa League football.
Their report also stated that Reds owner Evangelos Marinakis is prepared to spend big to sign him, and so a move to take him to the East Midlands could well be viable from a financial point of view too after Football Insider revealed that Man United have slashed the asking prices of their bomb squad players to get exits over the line quickly.
