Liverpool welcome Tottenham to Anfield for a mouthwatering clash in the Premier League this afternoon.

The Reds have seen their hopes of winning multiple trophies in Jurgen Klopp's last season dashed in recent weeks, and they have to beat Spurs to re-launch their title challenge.

Liverpool's problems all seemed to come bubbling to the surface last week when Klopp and Mohamed Salah were involved in a heated exchange on the sidelines.

But they will hope to put all that behind them and attack this game against Tottenham.

Spurs have lost three in a row against Chelsea, Newcastle and Arsenal and are in danger of being beaten to the Champions League by Aston Villa.

Jurgen Klopp will hear this just one more time as Liverpool manager, which is still strange to contemplate.

It's been a rough few weeks for Tottenham and Ange Postecoglou, who have lost three consecutive league games.

And ahead of this one, he's been speaking to Sky Sports.

He said: "This is the most challenging part of the season, and we've got to be up for it.

"The players understand that, they embrace it.

It's not easy trying to do what we want to, but we are up for it.

"This game is massive."

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has been speaking to Sky Sports about this afternoon's game against Tottenham.

He said: "We need a reason, a spark for the players to give it their all, so we've tried to do that.

"We've trained intensely and prepared for the opponent because they play in a very specific way.

"I am in a good mood; it's my penultimate home game, and I am looking forward to it."

Tottenham haven’t lost any of their last six away Premier League games on a Sunday (W2 D4), with their last such defeat coming at Anfield against Liverpool in April 2023.

Liverpool’s Jürgen Klopp lost his first Premier League meeting with Spurs’ Ange Postecoglou earlier this season.

We'll get to see two of the Premier League's best imports in action this afternoon.

Since their arrival in the Premier League, Heung-min Son and Mohamed Salah have torn defences apart.

They are top-class forwards, who constantly deliver for their side.

However, it would be fair to say neither have been at the top of their game in recent weeks, so this is a great chance for them to get back into form.

Well, suddenly, Tottenham's top-four hopes aren't all over as Aston Villa have just lost 1-0 to out-of-form Brighton away from home.

Spurs are now seven points behind the Villans, with two games in hand on Unai Emery's men.

Despite Tottenham's strong performance in the Premier League this season, Jamie O'Hara is worried that Ange Postecoglou has been worked out.

Liverpool players arrived at Anfield a short time ago, and they look up for it.

Plus, it's good to see Conor Bradley back from injury quicker than expected.

He's on the bench.

It would be fair to say that Tottenham have enjoyed a strong season under Ange Postecoglou.

However, they have a key weakness, which has been exploited time and time again.

Tottenham have conceded 22 goals from set-pieces this year, including penalties.

This is a large percentage of their goals conceded and something needs to be done about it because it could cost them European football if it continues.
