Hugo Ekitike has made the perfect start to life in the Premier League, giving Liverpool the lead.

Aged 23 years and 56 days, Ekitike is now the youngest player to score on his first top-flight start for Liverpool since Victor Moses.

Moses netted against Swansea in September 2013, aged 22.

That goal could be incredibly important for the Reds too.

They haven't lost any of their last 155 Premier League games at Anfield in which they've led at half time (W141 D14).

Their last defeat came against Arsenal in December 2009.

43' Milos Kerkez is booked for Liverpool.

The left-back has had a tough game against his former club and he just sent Adam Smith flying.

He went for a 50/50 but was never reaching the ball first and he slid in to take out Smith on the left-hand side.

Kerkez appears to have picked up a knock in the process, but he gets up and manages to carry on.

Dean Ashton live on talkSPORT: "He just had to realise he wasn't getting there."
