Liverpool kicks off the 2025/26 campaign today at Wembley as it takes on Crystal Palace in the Community Shield.
The annual curtain-raiser sees the 2024/25 Premier League champions take on the FA Cup winners for the chance to lift the first piece of silverware this season.
With just five days to go until the new league campaign gets underway at Anfield against Bournemouth, Liverpool will be aiming to send an early message to its rivals as it aims to defend its title.
Arne Slot will likely name his strongest team after what has been a busy summer for the Reds, with the likes of Florian Wirtz, Hugo Ekitike, Milos Kerkez and Jeremie Frimpong all eyeing up their competitive debuts for their new side.
And there will of course be the usual suspects from last season, including the likes of Virgil van Dijk and Mohamed Salah, with fans hoping they can celebrate another trophy at Wembley today.
