Alexander Isak has publicly addressed the fallout from his move from Newcastle to Liverpool.
Isak completed a British record £125million transfer, potentially rising to £130million, to Liverpool on Deadline Day last week, bringing an end to a saga that went on for the entire summer.
However, around 10 days before the move was finalised, the Sweden international angered many Newcastle supporters upon taking to Instagram and issuing a damning statement aimed at the club claiming that promises had been “broken”.
Isak, though, insists he is just happy with how things turned out.
“That’s part of football.

“There is a lot to discuss, and it can be discussed for a long time.

I’m happy and proud to be a Liverpool player.
“I don’t want to go into details or talk about that situation too much.
It is a closed chapter, but I have never had any problems.”
Over the course of the summer, Isak - who scored the goal against Liverpool in last season’s Carabao Cup final which won Newcastle their first trophy in 70 years - went from revered to reviled on Tyneside.

He added: “It’s a bit like it is.
