Liverpool fans received an unexpected shock last week when a viral video emerged showing former player, Florent Sinama Pongolle, executing a remarkable shot in professional footgolf.
However, it appears he's not the only Reds cult figure who has transferred their footballing talents into a completely different discipline.
Sinama Pongolle netted nine goals across 65 appearances for Liverpool after being snapped up from France in 2003, along with his cousin Anthony La Tallec, by then-Reds' boss Gerard Houllier.
The striker, now aged 40, claimed a Champions League medal in 2005 when Rafa Benitez orchestrated a legendary comeback to defeat AC Milan despite trailing 3-0 at the interval.
While he missed out on the final itself due to an injury, he did score Liverpool's first goal in the iconic 3-1 win over Olympiacos, in the group stage, that sent the Reds on their way to Istanbul.
After missing the victory parade for the Champions League, Sinama Pongolle went on to feature for clubs including Atletico Madrid and Saint-Etienne before a short stint in Thailand near the conclusion of his playing days.
The former French international, who earned one cap, retired in 2019 and quickly laced up his boots again as he ventured into the realm of professional footgolf.
Last week, a clip appeared on Sinama Pongolle's Instagram story showing him sinking an extraordinary shot from beyond the green at Golf De Saint Donat on the French Riviera.

Sinama Pongolle isn't the only ex-Liverpool star to have embraced the sport, as he disclosed that Le Tallec has also taken to the game, reports the Express.
"There are many [footballers] who come to try it," Sinama Pongolle explained to L'Union.
"After me, there is Ludovic Obraniak, who has practiced a lot, and Camel Meriem, who is the one who has been practicing the most since he started.

"We also find Anthony Le Tallec who I got started.
There were other ambassadors like Sylvain Wiltord, Jean-Pierre Papin or Youri Djorkaeff, who have already been part of the thing."
Sinama Pongolle and Le Tallec, inseparable since their youth, have come together once again at HAC Footgolf.
The club in Le Havre is where both players honed their skills in the renowned academy that set them on the path to professional football.
Despite being loaned out during that season, Le Tallec still secured a Champions League winner's medal from Liverpool's unforgettable triumph in Istanbul.
