Liverpool FC and their 2024 valuation has been revealed courtesy of sports business outlet Sportico.

Liverpool Football Club, established in 1892, has a storied history that cements its status as one of the most prestigious clubs in world football.

The Reds’ legacy is built on their remarkable domestic and international success.

They boast 19 English league titles, including their memorable 2019-2020 Premier League triumph, and six UEFA Champions League victories, with their latest in 2019.

This rich history of success contributes significantly to their global fanbase and strong brand identity.

As of 2024, Liverpool’s consistent performance in top competitions and their strategic commercial partnerships have further amplified their financial value,  ranking them among the most valuable football clubs in the highly competitive Premier League.

This valuation reflects not just past glories but ongoing influence and potential in the global football landscape.

What is Liverpool FC and their valuation in 2024?

As previously mentioned, Sportico have come out with the latest club reports.

Liverpool FC is in amongst the best and most historic clubs in world football – according to the valuation.

The sports business website has “compiled based on a review of financial statements and more the 50 conversations with bankers, investors, consultants and team executives.”

Somewhat surprisingly, Manchester United rank in first place at $6.2 billion (B) despite continuing to underperform on the pitch.

However, it is explained that Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s injection of approximately $1.6B to acquire 28% of the club “reinforced its spot” at the top of the rankings.

The usual suspects in Real Madrid ($6.06B) and Barcelona ($5.11B) come in at second and third respectively – and would have seemingly topped the Red Devils if it weren’t for Sir Jim.

Liverpool breaches the top five by placing fourth, with the Anfield club being valued at $5.11B.

This is then an increase to 2023’s valuation, with Liverpool being estimated at 4,7B from the same source.

According to Sportico, there is a distinct hierarchy of elite European football clubs with valuations exceeding $3.4 billion, encompassing 10 teams.

These teams have the advantage of an established brand, like Paris Saint-Germain, Bayern Munich, and Manchester United.

The established clubs also have the advantage of receiving more revenue from broadcasts, as it is implied they are the ones bringing in the viewership.

It is good see Liverpool inside the top five, and it is a testament to how Jurgen Klopp has transformed the face of the club since 2015.
