The club has now confirmed the steps it’s taking to preserve the memory of both brothers.
All tributes left at Anfield have been carefully collected, with floral arrangements set to be composted and used in flower beds across Liverpool FC’s major sites, including Anfield, the AXA Training Centre and AXA Melwood.
Remaining items, such as banners and mementoes, will be recycled by a specialist company and incorporated into a permanent memorial sculpture.
This future installation will serve as a focal point of remembrance for years to come.
In the interim, the club has created a temporary area of reflection at Anfield so fans can continue to pay their respects.
Supporters can also choose to honour Diogo by adding “Diogo J.
All profits from these sales will go directly to the LFC Foundation, which will fund a grassroots football programme launched in Diogo’s name.
During pre-season matches in Hong Kong, Tokyo, and at Anfield, players will wear a special “Diogo J.
The club also plans a full commemoration, including a minute’s silence and fan mosaic, for the Premier League opener against Bournemouth at Anfield on August 15.
