The changes at Liverpool have not been limited to the playing squad.
The Reds earlier confirmed that Giovanni van Bronckhorst will take up the role of Arne Slot’s assistant, replacing John Heitinga, who returned to Ajax earlier this summer.
Van Bronckhorst, a former Netherlands international who has managed Feyenoord, Guangzhou R&F, and Rangers, is regarded as a significant appointment.
Liverpool also brought in Xavi Valero as the club’s new lead goalkeeping coach.
The Spaniard previously worked at Anfield during Rafael Benitez’s tenure and replaces Fabian Otte and Claudio Taffarel.
Slot’s backroom team has changed dramatically in the little over a year since Jurgen Klopp’s departure.
Aaron Briggs joined Liverpool last year as an individual development coach, while Ruben Peeters arrived as lead physical performance coach.
The restructuring extends beyond the men’s side, with the women’s team also undergoing significant changes.
Following the appointment of Gareth Taylor as Liverpool FC Women’s new head coach, the club have now confirmed that Scott Rogers has left his role as assistant head coach.
He leaves after two successful spells with the Reds.
“I would like to thank the players, staff and fans for a fantastic couple of years,” said Rogers.
“It has been a pleasure to have worked at this football club across a number of years, and I wish everybody all the very best for the future.”
LFC Women managing director Andy O’Boyle said: “I would like to thank Scott for all of his hard work.
“On behalf of everyone at the football club, we wish him nothing but luck and success in the future.”
