Liverpool will make their first trip back to Wembley Stadium since their February EFL Cup final defeat to Newcastle United as they prepare to face Crystal Palace in Sunday’s FA Community Shield (3pm BST kick-off).
The fixture marks Palace’s debut appearance in the traditional season curtain-raiser after their historic first FA Cup triumph last May, ending decades without major silverware.
Both sides will arrive at Wembley in high spirits: the Reds on the back of encouraging pre-season victories over Athletic Club, while Palace have impressed under Oliver Glasner with wins against Millwall, Crawley Town and FC Augsburg.
Liverpool FC have now published important information about access arrangements.
Supporters travelling to Sunday’s FA Community Shield at Wembley are reminded that all tickets will be digital.
If you’re attending Liverpool’s clash with Crystal Palace (kick-off 3pm BST), you can download your ticket via your Liverpool FC ticketing account.
Entry will be by scanning the single-use barcode on your smartphone – these digital tickets are not NFC passes?
Simply present your phone at the turnstile for scanning.
Liverpool supporters are allocated the East End of the stadium and will enter through turnstiles A, B, C, D, E, F and G on Level 2 East.
General admission gates will open at 1pm, two hours before kick-off, to allow ample time for security checks and bag searches.
Supporters are urged to arrive early and follow Wembley’s wayfinding signage to reach their designated colour zones and entrances.
All Liverpool FC tickets for the Community Shield have now sold out.
The club reminds fans that digital tickets are strictly non-transferable and cannot be forwarded to other supporters, in line with the published ticket sale terms.
Any attempt to share or resell tickets will render them void, potentially leaving the intended attendee unable to gain entry.
