Liverpool FC are continiung the trend of a busy summer both in terms of outgoings and incomings.
Caoimhin Kelleher completed his highly anticipated move to Brentford in a deal worth £12.5 million initially, potentially rising to £18 million with add-ons.
The Republic of Ireland international, who had outgrown his backup role behind Alisson, signed a six-year contract with the Bees as their new number one goalkeeper.
Vitezslav Jaros took a different path, joining Ajax on a season-long loan after signing a new long-term contract with Liverpool.
The 23-year-old Czech goalkeeper will reunite with former Liverpool assistant John Heitinga, who has become Ajax’s head coach.
This move provides Jaros with valuable Champions League experience while maintaining Liverpool’s long-term interest in the promising keeper.
And now Liverpool FC have officially confirmed that back-up goalkeeper Harvey Davies has completed a loan move to Crawley Town for the 2025-26 campaign.
Davies will spend the entire season with the League Two outfit.
The shot-stopper penned a new contract before making the move, in a setup echoing Vitezslav Jaros’ switch to Ajax earlier this month.
The 6’3? goalkeeper signed his first professional contract with Liverpool in July 2021 and has been named on the substitute bench for the senior team on 18 occasions.
During the 2023-24 season, Davies was on loan at fellow League Two club Crewe Alexandra, where he featured in 32 matches across all competitions.
After linking up with his new side, Davies said of the move to Crawley Town’s official website:
“I am really happy to be here?
I had some great conversations with people at the club and they made me fell wanted and welcomed me in.”
“I had a really good chat with the manager who presented really well to me and said that he wanted me, so it made it the decision very easy.”
