Liverpool fans were brought to tears by a touching tribute to Diogo Jota and his brother Andre this evening.
The club took to social media to announce a livestream from Anfield, providing fans with an opportunity to remember "our lad from Portugal".
Jota, 28, was travelling with Andre in the Zamora region of Sanabria, Spain, when their car was involved in a fatal crash on Thursday, July 3.
Alongside family members and loved ones, Liverpool FC and international players, as well as members of the football community from around the globe, attended the service.
Liverpool FC announced a livestream titled "Remembering Diogo: Our Number 20" on LFC TV on Monday evening.
On X, they shared: "Join us at Anfield as we remember Diogo Jota, our lad from Portugal, who will be so greatly missed."
Fans took to social media ahead of the livestream, one said: "Will tune in, will be a heavy and somber time.
At 6pm BST this evening, we will air a special tribute: 'Remembering Diogo: Our Number 20'."
While You'll Never Walk Alone played out, viewers watched as the club shared a montage from the tributes at Anfield and the hundreds of flowers that have been laid in memory of Jota.
Taking to X, one fan said: "I’m in tears already" and another said: "I honestly thought I had no tears left.
Missing Jota a lot."
Other fans were quick to praise the club for providing the opportunity for fans to grieve together.
