Liverpool is reportedly in negotiations to sell one of Jürgen Klopp’s first-team players. While most expected not to do any transfer business in the remaining days of the January window in terms of bringing players in, there was always the possibility for FSG to move players on. The newspaper doesn’t name the interested club, but it’s hardly a surprise to read that the center-back is perhaps close to leaving the club. He’s been on the market in the past, with the Bolton native currently fifth-choice central defender for Klopp. And the recall of Rhys Williams has opened up the path for Liverpool to seek a sale once more.
Perhaps more intriguingly, the report from the Mail also suggests that Liverpool could look to bring in a player on loan in the remainder of the January transfer window.
Meanwhile, FSG is also running the rule over the likes of PSG and Atlético Madrid.
