Liverpool will begin their defence of the championship at home to Bournemouth after the fixtures for the new Premier League season were released.
The Reds will kick-off the new top-flight campaign on Friday, August 15 at 8pm against the South Coast side at Anfield, while ending the season at home to Brentford on Sunday, May 24 next year.
Liverpool's first away game is a tough assignment at Newcastle United with the Reds given a difficult start toby facing three of last season's top five inside the opening eight games along with clashes against traditional rivals Everton and Manchester United.

The first Merseyside derby of the season takes place on September 20 at Anfield while the Reds make their debut trip to the new Hill Dickinson Stadium on April 18.
They are at home to Manchester United on October 18 and travel to Old Trafford on May 2, part of a difficult final month which also includes games at home to Chelsea and away at Aston Villa.
Other key dates see Liverpool take on Arsenal at Anfield on August 30 and visit the Emirates on January 7, while they travel to deposed champions Manchester City on November 8 with the reverse fixture taking place on February 7.
While the first round of games have been chosen for live television coverage, the remainder of the fixtures are subject to change once Sky Sports and TNT Sports have their weekly picks for broadcast.
