Trent Alexander-Arnold soaked up every single moment available celebrating his second Premier League title success in front of Liverpool's supporters inside Anfield on Sunday.

It was a moment the 26-year-old had been made to wait for after almost five years.

As the final whistle blew to confirm the Reds' 5-1 victory over Tottenham Hotspur - and with it the 2024/25 Premier League title - a rapturous roar burst out from the 60,415 souls fortunate to witness the event.

It was elevated by the thousands more gathering outside and in local pubs, fireworks being shot into the sky nearby and flares saw the evening air engulfed in a red smoke.

Liverpool's players and staff stayed on the pitch for the best part of an hour, danced to Dua Lipa's 'One Kiss' and other EDM hits, lined up in front of The Kop for renditions of their individual chants and sang 'You'll Never Walk Alone' poignantly arm-in-arm.

This stands in stark contrast to the scenes of June 25, 2020, when Liverpool were last confirmed Premier League champions by way of Manchester City losing to Chelsea at Stamford Bridge, creating a 23-point gap with seven matches to go.

Then hampered by the Covid-19 pandemic, Jurgen Klopp and his Reds squad were made to wait until football resumed after a three-month lay-off, then could only commemorate their achievement at a private event at Formby Golf Club.

Nearly a month later on July 22, once they had beaten Chelsea 5-3 in a last Anfield hame of the season they finally got their hands on the Premier League trophy and individual winners' medals.

"[It means] everything.

Just the feeling of being up there - this is the one that we all wanted, as fans, as players, as a club.

"I'd swap every medal I've got just to have this one around my neck," an emotional Alexander-Arnold told Sky Sports.

At that point, then 21 years old, he was a Champions League winner, a UEFA Super Cup champion and FIFA Club World Cup winner, so they are some huge continental titles to be hypothetically traded in.

He continued: "I think the way we've played this season, the feeling of being up there on that podium, is unbelievable.

As the gaffer said before the game, they're the people that we play for.

"We play for the fans but they're the people who have helped you along the way from a very young age and they're the ones who've seen the good times and the dark times.

"It's amazing to be able to share a night like this with them."

But the man who had grown up a supporter of Liverpool himself and had gone on to help win their first English league title in three decades knew how much of a loss not having the people to watch along was.

"Nights like this, this feeling you get now, it's something that you want so much and will drive us.

He is a two-time Premier League winner and he was able to share this second time with the thousands who sing his name week in, week out.
