Everton are MORE likely than Liverpool to finish in the Premier League top four this season, talkSPORT has been told.

“They’ve got real, real big issues and it’s a really big order for them now to get into the top four.

Jurgen Klopp’s side have now lost each of their past FOUR Premier League games, whilst they’ve also suffered four consecutive home league defeats for the first time since 1923.

This latest loss saw Liverpool end the weekend five points behind West Ham in fourth and also level on points with Everton – who have an upwards trajectory while the Reds spiral downwards at the same time.

Assessing Liverpool’s recent collapse, King told Monday’s talkSPORT Breakfast: “The best way to equate it is to like a boxer being in a fight and he’s had one punch too many, and just can’t get up from it.

And it is Carlo Ancelotti’s side who are more likely to claim a place in the top four this season than Liverpool, the Daily Mail’s North West Football Reporter Dominic King believes.

“If you are asking me, ‘out of the two, who has got the best chance of getting into the top four?’, it’s Everton, without a question.”
