Liverpool have reached an agreement with Bayer Leverkusen for the third deal between the two clubs this summer - with Jarrell Quansah set to join the German side.
The Reds have signed Jeremie Frimpong and Florian Wirtz from the Bundesliga club already.
And now England Under-21 international is set to join Bayer when his participation at the U21 European Championships comes to an end.
He joined rivals Bayern Munich on a free transfer.
Now they are banking on Quansah as the man to fill that void, and have agreed terms with the Reds on a £35million deal.
Quansah has agreed a deal until 2030.
Intriguingly, Liverpool aren't shutting the door on the centre-back making a return to Anfield, after insisting on a buy back clause in the move.
Kop chiefs believe Quansah could still have a future on Merseyside, but that he needs to go and be playing regular football to fulfil his potential.

Quansah made 24 appearances in all competitions last season, but only made five starts in the Premier League.
