Liverpool Agree Deal to Sell Darwin Nunez to Al Hilal
Liverpool have agreed a transfer deal to sell Uruguayan striker Darwin Nunez to Saudi Pro League club Al Hilal. The agreement involves a fixed fee of approximately £46.2 million (€53 million), with add-ons potentially raising the total to around £56.6 million (€65 million).
This deal marks the end of Nunez's three-year spell at Liverpool, during which he scored 40 goals in 108 appearances across all competitions. Liverpool's decision to sell comes amid the player's expressed desire to leave the club this summer.
Al Hilal have reportedly satisfied Nunez's wage demands, facilitating the progress of the transfer. Although Italian club AC Milan showed interest and made a late approach for the striker, they were unable to match Al Hilal's financial offer.
With this transaction, Liverpool will secure one of their most valuable sales in recent years as Nunez moves on to continue his career in the Middle East.
