The 23-year-old French striker becomes Liverpool’s latest summer addition.

Liverpool’s recruitment drive continues as the club agree a deal with Eintracht Frankfurt to sign the talented Hugo Ekitike.

Negotiations had been progressing positively over the last week, and it appears a deal has now been agreed.

Liverpool had already strengthened both full-back positions as well as the midfield, but they were after more.

Now, they have a new striker in their ranks, a player immediately ready to push for a place in the Starting XI.

This signing casts further doubt over Darwin Nunez’s future at Liverpool, as already decreased playing time under Arne Slot could lessen even more if he is unable to find a way out of the clb this summer.

Due to Slot’s frustration with Nunez in front of goal, he opted to play Luis Diaz in the No.9 position which was unnatural to the Colombian.

Luis Diaz filled in the best that he could, but Arne Slot will be happy he has signed a natural striker in Hugo Ekitike.

However, with another forward addition, this could free up space for Luis Diaz to leave after the winger expressed his desire to depart Liverpool.

Hugo Ekitike becomes Liverpool’s latest signing, joining from the Bundesliga side in which he heavily impressed with last season.

Fabrizio Romano has given it the infamous ‘here we go’, which all but confirms that Ekitike is headed to Merseyside.

The rest of the tweet reads: “Hugo Ekitike to Liverpool, here we go!”

“Deal in place for fee over 90million euros for the French striker to join from Eintracht Frankfurt, potentially reaching 95m euros.”

“Six year deal for Ekitike, valid until June 2031; he only wanted Liverpool move.”

“New striker for Slot.”

A signing that takes Liverpool’s spending close to the £300m barrier but it has been reported that the club aren’t done there.

It is truly becoming a transformative window for Liverpool Football Club.
