Dutch outlet De Telegraaf says that the Reds will look to tie Jaros down to an improved contract before allowing him to spend the 2025-26 campaign at the Amsterdam club.
Jaros's current Liverpool contract is due to expire next summer, and Liverpool is keen to preserve its asset eight years on from bringing him to the club as a youngster from Slavia Prague in 2017.
The 23-year-old has been linked with Ajax in recent days and is due to undergo a medical on either Tuesday or Wednesday this week, after which the deal will be finalized.

Liverpool is keen for Jaros to get more senior minutes under his belt, and that is simply not going to happen at Anfield at this moment in time.
Jaros made two appearances last season, with one coming as a starter in a League Cup game and the other coming as a substitute in the Premier League, as Alisson and Caoimhin Kelleher occupied the first and second-choice 'keeper spots ahead of him.
Kelleher left Liverpool earlier this month but he is being replaced by Georgia international Giorgi Mamardashvili, who will operate as Alisson's backup.
Liverpool views Ajax as a suitable destination for Jaros as the Dutch giant will play in the Champions League next season
Jaros is familiar with Ajax's new head coach, Johnny Heitinga, after Heitinga spent last season as an assistant to Arne Slot at Liverpool.
Meanwhile, Andy Robertson has held preliminary talks with Atletico Madrid over a possible move to the Spanish club.
Liverpool is continuing to work on a deal for Bournemouth's Milos Kerkez, and the Hungarian will start next season as Liverpool's first-choice left-back if the deal is completed.
Andy Robertson could leave Liverpool
The original expectation was that Robertson would stay at Liverpool to provide competition to Kerkez, with Kostas Tsimikas leaving to keep the number of left-backs in Slot's squad down to two.
However, the chances of Tsimikas staying will increase if Robertson departs, and it is reported that the Scotland captain is keen on becoming a part of Diego Simeone's squad.
Atletico has signed a couple of British players in recent years, with Kieran Trippier and Conor Gallagher both making the move to the Spanish capital
Trippier, in particular, proved a shrewd signing as he helped Atletico to win the La Liga title in 2021, and Simeone will no doubt hope that Robertson can have a similar impact on the opposite side of his defense.
Atletico has made Robertson a top target after ending its pursuit of Theo Hernandez, as Los Rojiblancos search for a replacement for Cesar Azpilicueta, who is expected to leave when his contract expires following the Club World Cup.
