The transfer saga of the summer has finally been resolved in Liverpool's favour.

Here’s a round-up of what those who have worked with the 25-year-old to date have said…

Many of his ex-coaches have praised Isak’s humble nature, insisting his rise to become one of Europe's most feared strikers hasn’t changed him.

Johnny Gustafsson, who coached Isak in the youth ranks at AIK Stockholm, has said his Sweden team-mates, who include Viktor Gyokeres, hold him in high esteem for his conduct off the pitch, as well as on it.

He told The Guardian: "They also say he’s exactly the same person.

He cannot speak highly enough of Isak, both on and off the pitch, praising his professionalism.

Speaking to CBS in 2021, while they were colleagues at Sociedad, Merino said: "I think he’s a great player.

With his abilities, his speed and strength, the Premier League is a good place for him."

As his long-winded move to Liverpool advanced, Isak was in touch with his international manager, former Premier League striker Jon Dahl Tomasson.

We expect him here today.

"Alexander Isak is extremely professional and has a good mentality.

He’s not able to play for 90 minutes but he can be a game-changer."
