Real Madrid has completed the signing of highly rated Argentine teenager Franco Mastantuono from River Plate, fending off strong interest from Premier League giants Liverpool and Arsenal.

Liverpool, fresh off a first-place Premier League finish, and runners-up Arsenal were among the front-runners for his signature.

Over the past six weeks, Arsenal, Liverpool, Chelsea, Tottenham, and Newcastle were said to have also made moves to secure the River Plate sensation.



Franco Mastantuono will join Real Madrid on his 18th birthday.
