Crystal Palace have made their stance on Marc Guehi very clear - he's still an important player for the Eagles.

Liverpool are eyeing a late move for the England defender over the final 24 hours over the transfer market.

The Reds have already had a couple of bids turned down by Palace for Guehi’s signature.

Speaking in his pre-match press conference, he said: "Yes, everybody can see how many players we have available.

I deeply hope that Marc will play until the end of the season for us."

Speaking shortly before kick-off at Villa Park, the Palace boss added: “Of course he has a contract here at Crystal Palace.

Marc is a great guy and that’s why he plays.”
