Crystal Palace has reportedly set a $66 million price tag for England international defender Marc Guehi, amid interest from Liverpool and Newcastle United.

The two clubs, already engaged in tense negotiations over Toon striker Alexander Isak, are also vying for Selhurst star Guehi.

Newcastle failed to secure Guehi's services 12 months ago after balking at the then asking price of $93 million (£70 million), with several bids up to $86 million (£65 million) being rejected.

Newcastle is said to value Isak at $200 million (£150m) and have already turned down Liverpool's initial bid of around $146 million (£110 million), which was reportedly a "take it or leave it" offer.

Magpies manager Eddie Howe has conceded that Isak's future is "not in his control", despite previously expressing confidence that the player would remain with the club this summer.

Isak is expected to return to Newcastle this weekend after training in Spain, where he is likely to hold talks with Howe and the club's hierarchy on his future.

The Magpies have launched an official bid for RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko, and it remains to be seen if his arrival with impact Isak's future at St
