Liverpool have made two new additions to their Champions League squad ahead of their Wednesday night showdown with Atletico Madrid at Anfield.

The Reds' squad list for their opening league phase fixture of the season boasts 24 players, as per UEFA's official website.

The trio of Alisson Becker, Freddie Woodman and Giorgi Mamardashvili are listed as the goalkeepers.

Woodman is set to make his debut in a matchday squad since his free transfer arrival from Championship side Preston North End.

This is possible because UEFA permits clubs to name 12 substitutes for their matches, three more than the Premier League allows.

But he is part of the squad.

“It is already a Champions League game to look forward to but if people look forward to his playing time, that could mean that could happen tomorrow as well.

The only thing that is sure is he will not play 90, and all the rest you will see tomorrow.”
