Liverpool are still basking in the glory of their Premier League title win after closing out their season on Sunday.
The Reds drew a line under what will be remembered as a magnificent campaign by lifting their winners’ trophy at Anfield.
As Arne Slot admitted during the post-season celebrations, though, his mind had already long-since turned to thoughts of next year.
Slot will have another big task on his hands as he deals with the added expectation at Liverpool in 2025/26.
The likes of Arsenal and Manchester City will believe they can come back once again, but it’s probable that the Reds will start the Premier League season as favourites to retain their title.
And as they look to build further on the Slot era, Liverpool look set to give their head coach an almighty boost ahead of a crucial pre-season.

The Liverpool squad will now head off on holiday until they reconvene for pre-season training on the 8th of July.
However, the group which arrives back at the Liverpool training ground in six weeks’ time could look markedly different from the one which left on Sunday.

With the season not yet cold, Liverpool are already making moves in the transfer market to make sure they are ready to hit the ground running in July.
According to journalist David Lynch, the Reds are aiming to get their transfer business sorted by the time Slot and the team return for summer camp.

“They don’t need to get it done in that first window [June 1st – 10th], but if it’s there you might as well make use of it, it’s always handy to get your business wrapped up as early as possible,” Lynch tells Anfield Index.
“They know it’s a busy summer, so try and get as many of those players through the door as soon as they possibly can, have them all in place to be there on the first day of pre-season, because there’s a lot of players to bed in.
“At the start of the season they’ll maybe want to make as little changes as possible to the starting XI and ease those players in but equally having them ready and used to the way of working and familiarising themselves with their teammates is massively helpful.
So, that is a huge aim for them this summer.”
Clearly, just because Liverpool want to get their business done early, it does not necessarily mean they will be able to.
However, with a move in the works for Florian Wirtz, Milos Kerkez keen to join and Jeremie Frimpong sorted already, the Reds look likely to have at least three new players ready for pre-season.
Rumours that Liverpool are looking to sign a new striker are also ramping up, with a distinct possibility that one will be acquired before the start of July.
Should Liverpool bring all of these players in for the first day of pre-season, Slot can then bed them in and make sure they are ready to hit the ground running in August.
There is no magic formula when it comes to new signings, but getting them in early and acclimatised as soon as possible is always a good idea.
Last time Liverpool were defending a title they did not have that luxury.
This time, they are setting themselves up in absolutely the best way.
